The Merrill Inn, an elegant hotel with the air of an English manor, located
in an up-town district of Picton, in Ontario (283 km from Montreal), invites

for Sir Edwards Merrill, a lawyer from high society who moved in the fashionable
circle of Sir John A Macdonald, the Prime Minister of Canada. Renovated
in 1980 into a charming Inn, it has kept the character of times gone by,
with its antique furniture, woodwork, velvet and flowered tapestries.
It releases the luxurious perfume of a very British yesteryear. As extravagant
as it is formal, its architecture claims to take its roots from neo-gothic
with a flair of Italian tendencies. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated
and boast fireplaces and swirling Jacuzzi tubs. In addition, the house
offers a wine bar restaurant. Sir Edwards as intimate in its chic-ness
as it is sophisticated in its culinary and service expertise. The Inn’s
proximity to the beaches of Sandbanks National Park (15 min.) makes this
